Ingredients
2 cups of dudhi cubes( peel off the skin and chop into cubes)
1 medium size onion(chopped)
1 medium tomato (chopped)
1 inch ginger
2-3 garlic cloves
salt to taste
Tempering
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp asafoetida
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1tsp chili powder
Method

Method
- Wash the bottle gourd/dudhi and peel off the skin. Chop into cubes. Pressure cook in pressure cooker.
- Heat the oil in a kadhai.Add mustard seeds. As they crackle,add remaining tempering ingredients.
- Add chopped onion. As it becomes soft, add crushed ginger-garlic & fry along with onion. Add chopped tomatoes. Fry till tomatoes gets mixed up well.
- Add cooked dudhi with its juice. Let it cook on low flame for 5-10 minutes.
- When done add salt to taste.
- Serve with steamed rice or chapati.
