a tasty starter of paneer
Ingredients
6-8 pieces of Paneer(approx.100gm)
6-8 pieces of tomato( 1 big)
6-8 pieces capsicum(1 medium)
6-8 pieces of onion(1 big)
To be ground in a fine paste
1 bunch coriander leaves
10-15 mint leaves
1 tbl sp. kasoori methi
4 green chilies
1/2 inch piece of ginger
8-10 garlic cloves
few garlic leaves(optional)
1 tbl sp curd/lemon juice
salt to taste
Toothpicks or skewer
Method
- Wash coriander leaves, green chili, garlic, mint leaves. Chop coriander leaves, chilies.
- Make approx 1 inch square pieces of paneer, tomato, capsicum and onion. Transfer them into a bowl.
- Grind the green masala paste in a grinder. (avoid using too much water)
- Apply the masala to the vegetable pieces and paneer. Marinate for half an hour. (or for fast marination keep the bowl for 15 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Arrange the pieces of capsicum,onion,paneer and tomato on a skewer/tooth pick.
- Shallow fry on a non-stick pan or grill the skewer. Apply few drops of oil while grilling.
- Serve hot with tomato ketch up or can eat as it is.
